“Tired”

Eyes shut down hugging the heaviness of the day

Ears tune out the noises too loud

Lips ignore the words mind wants to scream

Heart runs fast to get away from me

So I put the head on a pillow

Dreaming of the hugs that once were

But now only a thing of the past.
